Sausalito City Council 2026
A lifelong Sausalito resident running to serve the community she calls home.
Born and raised in Sausalito, I have dedicated my life to serving the town that has given me so much. Today, I am the only lifelong resident serving on the Planning Commission, and if elected to the City Council, I would be the only Councilmember born and raised in Sausalito. My roots here run deep, and I am committed to preserving what makes our community special while thoughtfully planning for its future.
My commitment to public service began at just eight years old, volunteering with the Sausalito Parks and Recreation Department. For years, I helped with nearly every community event, including the Easter Parade, Fourth of July celebration, Chili Cook-Offs, and countless local festivals. As a teenager, I was honored to receive the City of Sausalito's Lifetime Volunteer Award, one of the accomplishments I am most proud of.
Beginning at age fourteen, I worked at many beloved local businesses throughout town, including the Harley-Davidson store, Venice Gourmet, Mollie Stone's, Giovanni's Pizzeria, Pine Street Papery, the Sausalito movie theater, Caffè Trieste, and various stores on Princess Street. Those experiences taught me the value of hard work, introduced me to generations of residents and business owners, and gave me an appreciation for the small businesses that make Sausalito unique.

My commitment to Sausalito continued through public service while I built a career in operations for e-commerce companies. I served on the Historic Landmarks Board, later the Historic Preservation Commission, where I was Vice Chair. Encouraged by former Mayor Susan Cleveland-Knowles, I applied for the Planning Commission and was appointed in December 2020.
I am now serving the final year of my second term on the Planning Commission. I was honored to serve as Chair in 2025 and humbled to be unanimously re-elected by my fellow commissioners to serve a second consecutive term as Chair in 2026.
One of the most meaningful parts of my service has been representing the Planning Commission on the Housing Element Advisory Committee. Through years of collaboration and public engagement, Sausalito became the first city in Marin County to receive a certified Housing Element, protecting the City from the Builder's Remedy while preserving local control. As Chair, I also led the Commission through the successful recertification of the Housing Element in 2025, keeping Sausalito in compliance with state law.
Why I’m Running
Throughout every stage of my life—from volunteering as a child and working in local businesses to serving on City commissions—I have remained deeply connected to Sausalito. I understand our history because I have lived it, and I understand our challenges because I have spent years working alongside residents, business owners, City staff, and fellow commissioners to find thoughtful, balanced solutions.
I believe Sausalito deserves leadership that values conservative, thoughtful growth, fiscal responsibility, historic preservation, environmental stewardship, and protecting our community from overdevelopment while responsibly meeting our legal obligations.
As someone who has spent a lifetime volunteering and serving this community—and who would be the only lifelong resident on the City Council if elected—I will always be a voice for the people who call Sausalito home. I will advocate for responsible decision-making with honesty, transparency and integrity.
My goal is simple: to leave Sausalito stronger than I found it, honor its history, thoughtfully prepare for its future, and continue the lifelong commitment to service that began as an eight-year-old volunteer.
Thank you.
